Also another note, 3/5 idler bearings went in NP with the Freeze bearing/heat pulley trick — the ribbed upper idler and the smooth mid one (one without a retaining clip) did not. I tried the same freeze method, as well as motor oil on the bearings the second time.
Pounded on them gently both tries and no dice.

    Any suggestions ?

You shouldn't have to do any of that stuff. The bearings will press in with relatively mild hammer taps using an appropriately sized socket to fit over the bearing. As long as it is straight it goes in with relative ease.

You are just complicating it by adding several extra steps and the idlers know that so they are fighting you now. :notsure:

    Apparently so.

I’ve used that trick in the past with motorcycle engine internals, as I try to not hammer at all. The other 3 just dropped in.
    I’ll try room temp tonight.

& to triple check - the smaller 6203 is for the smooth curved idler with no clip - and the 6303’s are for the rest?

The bearings which come out of the idlers will indicate which bearing it needs as they will have the bearing number on them.

Correct. I believe they have their own taper made for the Toyota spindles through EMF.

I didn't even realize that JD Fab made UCAs. Lol. Wow, I guess I've been living under a rock. That, or I'm old and I forgot.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
I'm thinking about selling my TRD supercharger. It's stock except for the nose drive coupler has been replaced, would come with fit kit from my 2012 but no programming. At or just over 60k mi (100k km) on it. Is it worth much on the used market?

I am just having too hard a time keeping premium fuel around. It's an awful lot of Jerry cans because I'm pretty remote and lots of the fuel stations on my highway routes are 87 and diesel only.

Octane booster would raise you up a decent 3 points from 87 when mixing it correctly to the amount of fuel you have.

Carry toulene in the jerry cans instead? Cutting it 3:1 gas to toulene...

And mix your own higher octane when you're stuck with 87?

Questionable if you find someone that REALLY wants the TRD in the casting rather than the brand new magnuson they can buy.

Is it safe to use an octane booster all the time? Any product you recommend or that I should stay away from? Lucas looks like the best of what I can get on Canadian Amazon

I’ve seen some TRD ones go for closer to new prices than not.
I wanted the TRD one specifically, and paid a higher price for it for sure. With a full rebuild of the SC and fit kit, I’ll have probably spend close to a new magnuson.

The TRD branded s/c main assembly I bought from a forum member was posted for like only a few hours and I was second in line.

It's fine. You would just have to change your spark plugs a little sooner, but it's not like it matters with the way our plugs foul out so fast. Just don't use too much the booster per tank as octane booster which ACTUALLY does what it's advertised to do usually contains MMT and you'll be okay. I personally like Boostane. It's what I use in my Camaro and it REALLY helps keep engine knock at bay.
