For what it’s worth, I removed mine because they made the seating position really bad for me. If you can find some at a discount, that’s the way to go. Just in case they aren’t what you hoped for.

That’s good advice, thank you for sharing. I’ll keep an eye out but I won’t rush into anything, especially since the seat is comfy enough at the moment.

I’m going to drive from Seattle to Chicago next month so my opinion might change after that though, haha!

So do you all have any recommendations? It’s my luck I will buy something I can’t use.

I don't use those ramps for my wife's Elantra. For that, I go on-base (Dover AFB) and utilize the Auto Hobby Shop's stall lifts for $6/hr.

Been using Race Ramps for years. Can’t beat them! Pricey, but worth it. Super light weight, but also very strong. And the approach angle makes it easy to drive up onto without fear of jumping off the end, something I’ve done with other ramps.

I have no doubt those ramps will last FOREVER if used within spec limitation. The only minor cosmetic problem I have is that some coating started cracking at the bottom, but that's not structural and doesn't bother me.

A little paltry compared to much of the amazing things in this thread, but I added a beaver tail step to the hitch today. I kind of like it!

You might want to grab a set (even the el cheapos) to take with you. Takes all of about 15 minutes to install them, so you'd be able to see the difference right away, on your trip.

    I have these.

Wow! The prices of these things have gone through the roof! I think I got mine for about $200. I wanted the two piece because at the time I had a Camaro and it was pretty low to the ground. I could remove part of the ramp and get to the underside of the car behind the front wheels. I don’t think these are needed for a Tacoma though. The ones you linked look like they would work just fine. I actually like how the have a dip for the tires.

Good idea, I’ll look around and see if I can score used ones in time. I have so many tolls in the truck that installation would not be a problem.

Sensor on order and already received non-OEM bumper cap. If I did it, I probably would have taken your approach. My daughter was pretty upset and was adamant that she wanted to make it right.
Parts were easy to find - just wish she wasn’t back in CO so we could wrench together.

These are the tails that came with the truck. I bought the truck used in ’20 and it had a few mods. I was worried about if these were stock or not and a Google image search came back with conflicting pics (some with chrome, some without). Knew they weren’t Pro’s and took a shot at ordering the 2018 stock OEM replacement - a winner.
