They last a lot longer if you hit them with a couple coats of UV stable clear coat after polishing them.

i spray the whole car engine bay down and cover nothing. spray engine cleaner. let it soak then hose it down again.

think about it this way. we drive in rains. cross rivers. floods.. so forth and everything under their gets wets or under water. i little water hose or pressure washer wont do much. at least imo

Installed my QuikFix seat risers from @mrproduxn, it’s crazy how much of a difference an inch makes under the rear of the seat. I’m no longer constantly adjusting my position in the seat. Picture below of the QuikFix and my filthy floor.

Washed the truck and luckily noticed an inch x 1/4 inch long rust spot that wasn’t visible from the ground on top on the cab, looks like it was probably from hail that creased the paint on impact. Sanded treated and repainted.

Here’s a weird one. Turned on my AC when I got on the highway, it was only blowing hot air. After getting off the highway and pulling up to a stop I turned the AC off and rolled to the stop in neutral. Put it in first and turned the AC on again after leaving the stop and still hot air. Next stop left it on and went into neutral, and the air started to cool down? Put it back in first and went on my way, with AC working for the rest of the drive. Was it like a reset? Not sure if it’s related, but I did disconnect my battery yesterday to clean MAF and throttle body.

There is a ac clutch relay that when it starts going out it will let the compressor cut on and off. That's where I'd start looking.

Probably not the problem but check the plug for the compressor behind the alternator. I accidentally knocked that plug loose the last time I changed a 2nd gen alternator.

What should I be looking for? Burnt connectors or something? Or just replace the clutch relay for piece of mind?

Its possible. I dropped a 10mm socket and spent alot of time fishing for it yesterday near the alternator. Where is the plug to look for?

Have you seen this? I'm thinking on ordering one, shipping is somewhat pricey as it comes from Australia.

I would swap out the relay. And the same relay from Honda cost half the price https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Hond...t=&hvlocphy=9011091&hvtargid=pla-571072874796. Vs https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-90987-02028-Genuine-Relay/dp/B00FZS42YC

Just ask Honda or Toyota for an Ac clutch relay. They sell them every day. Oem part number supersede regularly. At our shop we order ours from Honda because they are always about half price cheaper. But it's the same relay. A lot of the time it's made by Denso.

My AC never works after a battery/ECU reset until about 20-30minutes of driving.

I think it has something to do with the computer making sure everything is working correctly before allowing load on the engine, I confirmed this by observing the AC clutch, it won't engage after a reset until the vehicle has been through a ECU drive cycle check.

Took her out to do some exploring/fishing. Nothing crazy, just some sand trails.

Apparently somebody wanted my gas more than I do...... broke through my locking gas cap and left me with this. Honestly I'm leaving it. It still Un twists. No other damage that I can find. And oh boy did I look my truck over after I found this.....
