Yea! Had 260 miles. It was pretty nice. Guy wasn't really pushing it though. Dont blame him.

Me on the other hand, just trying to break traction at every turn haha.

Not a lot to push with only 40hp and almost 500lbs of bike. My 2016 KLR was a good bike but definitely didn't have the engine or suspension for any real pushing.

I hate tube tires. It’s always a giant pain in the ass to fish the valve stem out when installing new tubes and tires. I spend more time fucking with that then the rest of the process combined.

Anyone ever pinch a tube in this spot next to the valve stem and cause a leak? The new front tube leaked after install and this is the only spot. I’m having a hard time seeing how I could’ve pinched that spot but I also didn’t check the tube before shoving it in.

Sheesh, that's terrible luck. Pinching on install is the worst feeling when you have to do it all over again. That spot at least looks like it could be patchable if you didn't have another tube around.

I have no clue who makes my valve fisher, but this is $5 on Amazon or wally world:

    https://www.amazon.com/Slime-20075-Valve-Fishing-Tool/dp/B003V9Y012

Fisher, core removal tool, and deflator. Pretty handy when you need it.

I reused the original tube, it was still in good shape. I'll slap a patch on this one and keep it as a spare. On the front tire I ended up removing the valve core before putting the tube in and then using the little four way valve stem removal tool threaded end to reach in and grab the stem. Worked out ok but a real tool would be helpful.

Sold my two side cases for $850 tonight (with me paying shipping at probably $100-150.) Stooooked. I get to keep my racks too in case I ever want to go with racked soft bags :bananadance:

These are 12 year old cases, I'm amazed they still hold their value this much.
