Years ago I knew I wanted one in quicksand or cement. Then as it came closer to time to get a truck I decided I’d also settle for Army Green, whenever the time came and I found a good deal.

Then Lunar Rock came out and I knew I wouldn’t have any other color. The nail in the coffin for the other colors was the fact that the used market was totally upside down with used Tacomas selling for as much or more than MSRP on a brand new one.

I dont necessarily have color envy. I just want a red, black, white, green, lunar rock and cement gray one but could only afford one.

Absolutely! I wish so badly my truck was Black. Or Cement. Or Army Green.
At the height of the shortage my 1st gen was totaled and I needed a replacement asap.
My options were: Buy a new SR or SR5 with the body/bed I wanted in White or MGM :puke:(No other trims or colors in state available at the time)
Buy one of two used ORs for $10k over my budget (I actually refused to look at one because it was the color AND body I wanted and I know I would have talked myself into it...)
Or get the only used Tacoma that was available in town and in my price range. DCSB Sport in Barcelona with all the shit.
To my surprise the double cab has grown on me, but I abhor the short bed and hood scoop. I have gotten used to the Barcelona Red but it still doesn’t make my top 5 colors...

1B54A6DB-C61B-45C1-AE0E-7D06164CCC6E.jpg I got Cement, like it a lot. Wanted silver, always get Silver on vehicles. Like a light colored vehicle because it helps with heat dissipation. Cement = primer gray.

I do sometimes. I really wanted cement. At the time my previous truck (09 Ranger) was on its last leg so I didn't have a ton of time to shop. I ended up finding a White truck that checked off all the boxes so I grabbed it.

White does look good though and I'm happy with it, but if I had more time I would have waited until I found a cement one.

I live in the deep south. Hotter than hell in the deep south! Lots of white trucks here in the deep south for a good reason. So I got a white one.

    Inferno is the Shiz….

    Change my mind.

I’ve had opportunities to trade in my 4+ yo inferno for a new equivalent at a cost of about $3k. It’s the lack of inferno that keeps me from doing it.

I waited 4.5 months for my lunar rock and I get excited every time I see it. Wife wanted a LR rav4 and I told her white was great!! Bc that’s what they had coming in the next shipment

Cement imo, looks like the vehicle was left only with a primer coating. I guess some think its looks great...maybe because its different idk. As far as silver...its ok, but the color has been around longer than some have been born on toyota pickups. Seems every other one here on the road is silver. I thought the inferno red was pretty bold, just don't see many here that color anymore. Its a hard color to keep from fading after a few years.

I came to the Toyota party too late to get what I really wanted. A Pro, with MT, in Voodoo Blue. I just couldn't do this years green, so I decided to work on my coping skills and order a Mag Grey. Still.....patiently......waiting. It is scheduled to be built on Tuesday.

I followed a new Barcelona Red TRD OR on my motorcycle for many miles on a sunny Sunday and that is a freaking beautiful color. Every time that truck drove into different levels of shade from trees and then back out into bright sunshine it changed color. Very impressive!

I'm into dark greens right now though so AG it is.

I wanted Cavalry blue, but didn't want a used truck. Only 2021's in my area (year of purchase) were green, white, black, silver, and cement. Color was important enough to me, but my main line in the sand was NO leather seats and moon roof. Also did not want a long bed. Was open to a manual and was in a tight window to trade my old 2010 Nissan titan in before something else went wrong with it

    1. Don't like green at all (sorry guys)
    2. Everyone drives white...meh. Then I saw someone refer to their taco as a storm trooper and that killed it for me.
    3. Room mate got a black jeep Sahara Unlimited XE. She has to wash that thing constantly or it looks like shit. Pass
    4. Cement... looks like a plastic hot wheels color to me idk. Really was turned off.
    5. Mgm wasn't available in DCSB with no leather seats and sun roof. Hard pass on sun roof in Oregon

So I got a silver sky SR5. Very happy. But still get color envy with those 2019ish cavalry blues

I wouldn't call it color envy, but color appreciation. My first choice was cement. But I also really like lunar rock and army green. If AG was less glossy, it might've been my number one.

Mentioning barcelona red, i followed a 2019 sr5, or newer on the road yesterday, pretty nice truck with the chrome bumper ends....just wish it was driven a little faster....speed limit was 45 mph on this back road highway.
