    Hey all -

Wanting to change out my 2020 TRD OR 4x4 GY Wrangler's for some Falken WildPeak A/T3W's. Staying with the stock sizing 265/70R16, as this is my daily driver and is our fam's long-range trip vehicle.

My main question is: the 265/70R16 Falken WildPeak looks to only come in an SL tire which, I believe, is only 4 ply. Does the stock Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar have a "stronger" tire in terms of ply for punctures? I believe it's an SL tire as well from what I can find on it. The GY website seems vague and the sidewall lists the ply info as 2 in the tread with extra in the "steel kevlar"...

I guess I'm wondering if, in terms of punctures, it would've been better to go with a tire that was C or E class load rated... I think the BFG KO2 in that size is already E class load rated. I've read more on tires in the last few weeks than I ever thought I would lol, so be kind - I'm new haha

Stick with p rated if your not doing rock crawling or lots of off road where you need to air down heavily. Your wallet will thank you as C and E are HEAVY tires

C and E rating is more of load rating for heavier vehicles. It just so happens to be bit sturdier but that doesn't mean the falken p tires are by any means weak

You can run slightly bigger 265/75r16 at stock height with no issues. Fills in the wheel wells better too.

I believe C load is the happy medium as you can use them for daily driving but then use it for needed work. Don't get a loaded E rated tire.

Thanks all - I put the Wildpeaks on, and so far they've been great. I get the same mpg as the GY's, and they do look much more aggressive so for ascetics it's good too.

I'll see the off-road performance soon enough, but for road/looks, the Wildpeaks seem great
