Is it possible for ATF to leak from the neutral safety switch? I finally found the source of an ATF leak I've had for months using some UV dye. There's a small puddle of ATF sitting right below the switch and it's been running down along my pan and then dripping off the back.

I've never replaced one of these before, is it safe to remove it with the truck in park? Is there an o-ring or gasket that sits behind the sensor that may have failed?

    Thanks

Yeah there's a gasket for the shift shaft behind that. I think you can remove it safely in park.

I'm gonna go googling but any chance you would know what that gasket is called or a part #?
