Wyoming Game and Fish has a hilarious video of a hapless fisherman with a sizeable trout in the talons of a bald eagle. He must have had the drag set fairly tight..... With an audio advising that you are not allowed to dispute ownership of the fish with a protected raptor.

Finally bought a new ( power) recliner. Delivery Thursday ! Picture makes the color look weird it’s a tan color . Regular price was $650

 

Dave: Please get rid of the heat and humidity by mid-August. We are going to the Thumb on August 18th. My SIL needs some help this year, so we are taking, Tree Stix, chain saw. sander/buffer and a few other power tools.

Today is the end of our pond. The maintenance is too much anymore. Pond company is coming to take the fish, pump, filter, and aerator. My sister's SIL son and wife will take the rocks on August 13th. We will cut up the liner bag it and have the trash guys take it. When we come back from vacation, we, my son's project, will begin to turn the area into a Zen Garden with bird bath.

 

We were looking last year. the power models were so slow that I worried about making it to the bathroom if I was reclined.

Sorry to hear that you are giving up on the pond Tom, like anything, you will probably miss it for a while and then be glad you said the heck with it and enjoy the birds that come to the bird bath.

Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Well, finally hung. Still wasn't as far back it could be, but far enough. Figured out the instructions aren't for people with gaping holes in the middle of the garage ceiling. Run the wires today, and connect the door to the trolly. Be very glad if I can wrap this up - I'm beat!



Sorry to hear your pond is retiring Tom - I'm even getting tired of the stock tank pond. Would be better if I could find some banana tree plants for some shade for it, but none to be had around here.

You're a good man for donating blood. I've tried twice and both times I ended up passing out. I don't get queasy looking at it but can't figure out why I go black. It scares the hell out of the technician. I'm in pretty good shape, normal blood pressure, walk 5 miles EVERY day in the morning, not in the obese category (but could lose 20 lbs), don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, not on any medications, drink lots of water before I go, etc. It's the strangest thing. Glad there are those like yourself that do this.

 

Evening all:

Coal is being delivered tomorrow. Geez, just paid taxes, got a fuel oil fill, and now a coal delivery, anyone want to donate! Maybe if I look at like it's only a bunch of numbers going in and out of the checking account, I'll feel much better!

 

Man, I feel bad for you guys back east. I don't know how you do it.
