Hey everyone. I recently decided to low on my 1998 tacoma 2.4L. Trying to stay in budget I got 3/4 drop kit. Shorter Front springs and blocks on rear. The truck still isnt sitting as low as i want it to sit. Theres still almost 2 inch gap from tires to fenders. I can go low on front by replacing upper control arms with no issues. But rear leaf springs are just 2 inches higher than ground as it is. Is there any other way to lower the truck more from the back? Any input would help.

There's couple options for lift shackles but i couldn't find any lowering shackles. Do you know
any manufacturers that makes lowering shackles specifically for these trucks or are there any other universals that would fit? Sorry kinda new to lowering stuff.

Generally speaking - any drop more than 4" you start to run into issues with bottoming out your axle to frame rails which requires a notch in the frame to overcome.

For more drop the easy way go with larger blocks. You can look into the sdad mod on the forum here which is a oem 4x4 leaf swap. Another option, I had my leafs re-arched by a spring shop (Deaver) to give 3" drop with stock leafs.

Or just toss a few hundred pounds of sand in the bed! Enjoy
