It’s a 2002 2.4L, this just looks like too much!
I followed the guidelines in this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-gen-a-c-system-replacement-how-to-seized-compressor.293204/ and put 125cc of oil in after draining what it came with (only a tiny amount). I installed it like this and turned it by hand at least 10 times and it turns freely. I started it up with the compressor belt loose just to make sure the clutch and idle up work, and the compressor started turning so there is not excess resistance. Everything I could find on here suggests that the correct amount of oil, however I couldn’t find in my FSM where it actually lists the amount.

I’m ready to go to the mechanic and get the system charged but want to make sure I didn’t screw it up by putting too much oil in it.

I've done a mod or two
I think you might have poured it into the wrong side but 125cc won't kill anything I don't think. The system circulates it as a vapor anyway

I poured it into the other side then turned it and it pumped through. While turning the level comes almost to the top of the larger (outlet?) port.

I'd assume it is fine then. Last few times I've charged a system I used a charged oil can.
