Considering switching from BP51 to King 2.5 OEM Performance.

I have 2015 Off Road with 116000 miles. Have pelfrey steel front bumper and snug top camper for weight. Rock sliders are coming at some point. I put the OME BP51 kit with Dakar's and Light Racing UCA's on in October 2017. The kit has been fine for my driving and a little stiff in my opinion, but recently had a rear shock go out. ARB is going to cover the rebuild but it has to come off and go in for 3-5 weeks. Mostly a daily driver but want the capability to eat the bumps on and off road at medium speed with ease.

Im considering buying King 2.5's to replace both rears and leaving the BP51 fronts with intention to replace them with Kings later on. I can buy something cheap like the ProComp while the repair is being done and be out of pocket almost nothing. I just feel like these BP51's are missing something and aren't what i expected, but that's pure speculation and I have nothing to base that on other than all the praise of Kings.

    Any opinions?

Honestly, I've been pretty meh on my Kings, especially in the rear, but it's not King's fault.

Pretty sure my W-shaped Dakar MD's have more to do with the mediocre ride quality I'm experiencing than anything else.

And now that I've been going down the suspension mods rabbit hole, I've found there are way too many suspension-related shortcomings in these trucks that can't be fixed with shocks alone, namely design issues like the spring-over axle and the stock leaf spring hangers, in addition to the flexy chassis.

Until you start addressing those issues, you likely won't notice much difference between shocks alone.
