On stock suspension the biggest tire you can fit is a 265 70 17 guaranteed no rubbing after you remove the front mudflaps. As for the Toyo AT3's I love mine

You will want a lift and even then may need to remove the stock mud flaps and trim the inner lip of the fender flare. I have about a 2” lift and just put on 275/70r17 wildpeaks and needed to do very minor trimming on the flare.

No lift, you could probably cut back a lot of the flare and the fender liner, then pound the pinch weld flat. And maybe do a cab mount chop. But its still probably going to rub somewhere at full turn or compression.

again and again this question is asked.

Again and again the answer is..... LIFT DOES NOT MAKE THE TIRE FIT.

The wheel wheel on the 2nd gen (and to a similar extent 3rd gen) tacoma limits the tire size, not the lift. Stock height or lifted you simply can not fit much larger than a 265/75R16 (265/70R17) sized tire within the confines of the wheel well unless you start removing mudflaps, trimming inner fender liner, and bending pinch weld flat.

Both of these pics I have +1" up front from the 3rd gen TRDOR suspension but they fit the same. No rubbing with mudflaps off.
