So I'm considering installing a LED light bar behind the grill on my 2020 and wanted to see what everyone suggested. Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

I've looked at the Cali-raised light bar, not a fan of losing the plastic wind deflectors for the headlights, plus it would seem they're also are designed to help funnel wind through the radiator for better cooling.

Thats a huge question and you are going to get very nonspecific answers.

It depends on your budget and/or use. There are brand names like diode dynamics and BD that everyone will recommend, because the adage "you get what you pay for" are completely true.

Everything else, might as well get a $100 Amazon bar and call it a day.

But again, before you shop, know where you want to throw the light. Far ahead, to the corners, or somewhere in between. You also need to think about your use scenario. Are you looking to run moonshine at nascar speeds, or are you just trying to crawl along and find your campsite, or somewhere in between?

By the way, I rock a $100 amazon light bar. It throws great output but the pattern cutoff sucks balls. :anonymous::anonymous:

You don't have to lose the air director, you can just cut a notch in it and put it back

I've had mine like that for over 5 years and never had a single issue

So mostly on-road driving, a little in the woods, budget for a good light bar is in order, I'm a total believer in "you get what you pay for". As far as light throw, 75/25 75 ahead, 25 to the sides to see potential deer about to jump out in front of me at night.

On my 2014 Tacoma, I started out with CaliRaised brackets and one of their LED bars in an all driving pattern. Not bad, but I was not a fan of the light pattern. It just kind of blew light out all over the place. I switched to a Diode Dynamics 30" Stage LED bar (also an all driving pattern) and was much happier. Much tighter and thus more useful pattern.

With the Diode Dynamics brackets, you can keep the wind deflectors. No trimming required.

I put in a HF light bar mounted to Cali Raised brackets. Pre COVID with coupon the HF light was a good deal for my purpose. HF also sells a plug/play wiring kit. Had to modify the air deflectors to keep them. Just grab a set from a wrecked taco.
