Currently own a 2022 Tacoma TRD with stock 265/70 R16. I believe the truck comes with a 1'' front lift and a 0.5 back lift from the factory. I'm thinking about addign 1 1/4 inch spacers to push my tires out just a tad for a more aggressive look. my concerns are rubbing of course and if I would need a leveling kit/lift. The guy I went to ask about the spacers said I would definitely need to level the front end But Ive heard both arguments. I'm good with just the spacers because I'd love the aggressive look without messing with suspension. Thoughts? Advice?

Spacers increase negative offset which makes you more likely to rub. Lifting may help some, but not as much as cutting plastic, removing flaps and a can mount chop mod. You can tell for yourself if you will rub. Just crank the wheel fully to each side and place a flat ruler on the tread of the tire. You can see exactly where 1.25” further out is and whether or not you will have contact.

Some will tell you that increasing negative offset will increase wear on suspension parts, which is true, but the extent may be negligible. Others will tell you that spacers place more stress on your suspension than offset wheels in the same dimension which is not true. Just make sure you buy quality hub centric spacers and install them correctly, and check for tightness periodically and you should not have problems.

I have run Spidertrax spacers for about 3000 miles now and have had no movement or loosening yet. I installed with locktite and have checked for tightness twice.
