Scratches on my upper tailgate from closing snug top canopy

Hey all, I've recently started noticing small scratches on the upper exterior tailgate from closing my snug top canopy . The canopy window where it closes is fiber glass and is rubbing when I shut it. I've been combing the internet to try an find some sort of tailgate extended cap that would just cover that area, but am having a very hard . Something simple would be fine. Any help would be great. Thanks

 

Just throw some wrap where the door runs on the tailgate.

 

That is what I did. Bought a piece of clear bra on Amazon for few bucks and it works great. You also might think about moving your canopy back just a hair to also help with the problem. My rubbing was coming from the rubber gasket on the bottom of the window

 

Good to know this info, I will check when my Snugtop gets installed in a few weeks
