Based on wheel and tire specs it appears that the move from 16" steel wheels with 245/70/16 tires to 16" TRD OR wheels with 265/70/16 tires will cause the outer sidewall to stick out about .6". Since the SR does not come with fender flares I was curious how this option looks. Curious if anyone has any pics of this setup.

I have this setup. I don't have any pics right now, but the tires do not protrude beyond the fenders.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

You are talking less than 5/8 of an inch, to the casual passer by it will not be noticeable, only to people on Tacoma World. ;);)

You will need the correct lug nuts and TPM sensors for the aluminum wheels too. The lug nuts are really important, the ones used on the steel wheel won't hold the aluminum wheel safely.

The TRD OR wheels are actually still pretty “tucked in”, compared to what most aftermarket are. Your axles and running gear are the same as the TRD OR, so it will be no different for you. You will have the same overall track width as a stock OR, with the added advantage of a little less coverage from the black TRD fender flares, so your truck will look perfectly dialed, in my opinion. I’m not a fan of huge pokey wheels for the most part.
