2022 TACOMA OFF ROAD

Hello! I hope someone can help me or has gone through a similar situation but I have been waiting for my 2022 Tacoma Off-road Premium that I put a deposit down on March 9th, 2022. I was supposed to receive the truck May 24th and it was put on hold for a QC check with no eta. Now it’s July 28th and there is still no information in regards to whats going on with my truck and no one has answers from the dealer… they keep saying there is “no eta and we are sorry”. I have been patiently waiting for quite sometime now but my patience is running out. I have somehow retrieved a VIN from the Toyota app which is 3TMCZ5AN0NM498666. If anyone can help me that would be great thank you!

 

My truck has also had a long QC hold, 5/23/22. Your truck like mine is part of the recall. My guess that is what is holding them up.

How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

 

My truck is being held in East Brookfield Ma. There is quite a few others being held there.

 

Well, it will be interesting to see if the forum can magically make your truck appear.

I'm in the betting pool for a not.

Meaning you either keep waiting or start over. Since the truck apparently exists and is tied up in Toyota processes, waiting may be the smart play.

Please note production on '22's may have ended and the '23's started. It's getting close for sure. Meaning if you walk from this one you are dependent on the 'allocation system' to find a '22 close to what you asked for.

 

I was thinking the same thing but that would suck because there is no resolution to the recall that toyota issued… so until there is we would be waiting until is gets resolved?

 

I believe we will have to wait. My guess is best case scenario would be a month.

Best advice: Wait it out.
I ordered my '20 TRD OR AC in May 2020.
My '21 TRD OR AC arrived the beginning of December 2020.
Part of the wait was because of the model year changeover.
I was patient, was happy with my aging '06 TRD OR AC, and saw no reason to get all fired up about the time. Annoyed - for sure. But I remained calm and patient.
You should do the same.

 

Get a refund, buy a used Prius to weather the gas crisis, then when the auto market stabilizes (which it already is), get something in stock that you want. Waiting months for a depreciating asset class is mind boggling to me.

 

its sucks but that is the world we live in now, toyota wants your money asap too, they aren't doing it on purpose
