So I am doing the rear diff breather reroute in case I take a swim crossing a stream and was thinking about whether I need to reroute the others. I found the front diff breathers near the battery. They are up high enough that it is beyond my courage in stream depth terms. Because of this forum I know where the transmission and t-case breathers are. I think I can feel the transmission breather with the tip of my finger.

I guess I have two questions:

    1. What is the wisdom of crowds on the need for rerouting those breathers up front? I am thinking streams maybe two feet deep at most.

    2. If yes how the heck did anyone get to the transmission and especially t-case breather? I am slow so I have a feeling the answer is something obvious I haven't thought of.

I only did the rear breather routed up to behind my tail light. I didn't mess with the fronts, as they're up higher as you eluded to. YMMV
