This reminds me of a story my father told me when he was working as a hvac tech. Someone he worked with was insulted when the restaurant manager told him not to walk through the dining room. He took the controller off the wall, walked over to the edge of the dining room and loudly told the manager here's your problem, this thing is packed full of dead roaches.

Well my sister borrowed the truck for a couple days and at the time my grandfather didnt drive it very much so he let my sister use it to help a friend move, we didnt know that friend had roaches otherwise we would have said no, youd be surprised a bag with roaches only sitting inside the truck one night how quickly they start to get in everything, at one point i bugbombed the truck and they where gone but recently when i was doing a black interior conversion which i havent finished of course they where under the carpet and stuff and in the glovebox and well the ecm is behind the glovebox possibly it got ruined

Wow, didn’t know those bastards can do that to a vehicle. Rodents and maybe porcupines but not roaches.

    Same.

I've run across them on the job before , mainly at sewage treatment facilities, plus I'm an electrician and never saw any damage from them. Just bunched up in conduit and J boxes. Good luck.

Is it possible its a throttle body or pedal issue? I brought it to a mechanic and he is saying he wants to replace both but 300 to do that is insane to me i did notice if you try to push the throttle blade open it is very tight and wont wether the truck is on or not is the throttle body my issue?

When I cleaned my tbody, it was stiff to open also so yours is probably normal.

I had one that really had me stumped. Ended up being a collapsed air filter, one of those cylinder shaped ones. The output end collapsed into a 4 leaf clover shape and choked the intake. So maybe pull the intake tubes off, look inside with a flashlight, make sure a rag or something isn't in there. The air filter isn't super dirty.

When i say stiff its super hard to push amd wont go past what looks like 25 percent thats why it concerned me and ive removed the entire air box and plenum and everything to inspect it all thats when i discovered the stiffness, i was also told on the pedal theres a pedal position sensor built in and if its bad it will cause limp mode

Yeah i dont even remember if i was able to push it past or not ill try again when i get home if it stops at 25 percent then im assuming the throttle position is recieving an error and causing limp mode i can get a tested good with a warranty used throttle body local for 20 bucks so i might try that
