Hey everyone. Is there a notorious area in 99 2.7 harness that is well known area of trouble. I’m certain I have an issue in there and before I unwrap it I was hoping for a “it’s almost always here” type thing. I’m leaning toward the crank sensor or knock sensor wiring…. Random dumb skips and misses, sometimes simply a bumpy rd will straighten it out. Strange thing is when it’s acting up it interferes w/ am radio (stock) loud cackling which mirrors how it’s running if you follow. Turn OD off and it jumps in frequency and volume. No CEL, all sensors reporting. Aggravating. Thanks

My experience (and none of it w/ a '99 Toyota) has been that the high-tension coil for the spark plugs is the only thing which will feed through to the radio. As far as engine operation electrical components.
