That's odd. Have you made any modifications to the radio?

The VSWR is a good first check. Next would be your grounding. If you are only using the negitave wire for ground, try a short strap from the radio case to the truck body.

Age old problem. A lot of times its fundamental RF overload of the speaker amplifier in the stereo system. Transistorized systems recitify the RF signal and you get the sound from the speakers.

But as others have quite right suggested, check and make sure you have a good low SWR. High SWR feeds back RF to the transceiver and also causes the feedline to radiate, which you don't want. The RF feedback to the radio subtracts from your transmit power and can damage the transceivers final amplifier transistor to boot.

Next look at how you have run the antenna feedline. Is it running parallel to the speaker wires? usually if the feedline crosses over at right angles the speakers wires it will cause no problems. You get into trouble when it runs alongside.

If both of these are correct then possibly antenna reloacation, borrow a magnet mount type if you can and place it at varius places on the vehicle to see if this stops the RFI in the speakers.

If none of this works then it gets a bit of a mess to solve. Install shielded speaker cable with the shield only grounded at one end. Bypass capacitors installed at each speaker, usually 0.01 microfarad disc Ceramic capacitors at several hundred volts, they are quite small in size. generally soldered across the speaker terminals, RF chokes in the speaker wires. I doubt you will have to go this far. I run over 100 Watts HF in my 2009 DBL cab with no ill effects, my antennas SWR is tuned each I change frequencies. For a CB antenna thats not necessary however, just tune it for the lowest SWR on Channel 20 and you should be ok.
