So got into some hairy stuff and slid sideways into trees, thinking the sliders saved me from getting punctured clear through...who knew branches were so hard and sharp?! Scared to drop by a body shop and ask for an estimate...ugh. If my truck was just a tab bit shorter and slimmer it could have made it through unscathed, I just know it! On top of that got all the way up into a dead end and had to do a ten-point turn and didn't see another branch sticking out from the bushes and it ripped my license plate swivel hinges sideways and now the license plate won't flip down to access the receiver. Jeez...

You are catching up to how my truck looks.

On the bright side, we tend to learn more from our mistakes than are successes.

Keep in mind that if you never fix it or sell it, body damage is free. (as long as the doors work, rain stays outside the cab, etc)

    Keep on truckin!

    :)

Is that an Apogee Rear Bumper? Looks like it held up OK except for the blind spot covers.

Good eye! Yep @Apogee Offroad makes good stuff. I need to find out how much for a replacement cover I guess, and also how much for a new license plate swing frame. Ugh.

That side damage is gonna cost ya. Expensive trip. Looks to me like that would pay for a lot of whiskey and hookers. Oh well, every man has fun different ways.

You might try getting a quote from a paint less dent repair guy. Some of them can work miracles.

In the Trees? The basic plug-in HF electric chainsaw plugged into your truck inverter makes a good recovery tool, also useful at camp for cutting firewood.

Been there before!! Sounds exactly like what happened to me. I got away with just replacing the door. Lucky it didn't get my rear window. Same branch got 2 more jeeps that day too!

Try and find a rear access cab door replacement through car-part.com. Will be the cheapest option door-wise.

    All the things!
Instead of the flip plate that came with my bumper, I used two manetic license plate holders. Not only did this get rid of the flip plate, which I found obnoxious and in the way, but it also allows me to relocate the plate when towing. You can stick it to the side of the bumper, or to the trailer.
