Thanks for the feedback. I already have a nice down bag that I can un-zip to make a large down "blanket", as well as we warm wool/alpaca blanket. Sounds like I'll just be using these instead of a fully enclosed bag.

Yes it is cement. I’ve only seen pictures of the grey. If the top part of the camper also came in grey I might have went for it.

SP reply to my inquiry about accessory kits and new mounts.

**We are going to be putting together solar kits that can be ordered and installed when you pick up your camper. Once we are fully settled into our new shop we are going to be digging into further accessory development.

**The new mounts are something that is being offered as an upgrade, they are being offered at $400 which is our cost. It comes down to if the customer wants to purchase those at pick up. We are in development of a replacement to the silver standard mounts that will be offered, we just do not have a timeline for availability of those.

**Build time would not be affected by any of these things

Interesting. Can you see or feel any deformation to the sheet metal at all? Only other spot to check would be pulling fender liners and looking up under to see if its pulling/separating from the t-slot/bed. Does that clamp show any signs of being tighter than others, like showing more threads? Any other signs of shifting or anything on the inside of the camper around that clamp or anywhere else? I'm wondering if this is just a 3rd Gen thing.. reach out to SP for sure with all that.

Ok... Who wants to hear a quick story about me being a DUMB-AZZ?

In prep for my DC-DC Charger install, I needed to find a way to tap into an ignition source, so I found a fuse (# 27, Gauges) in the fuse box that only registered current when the truck was on. Bingo! Went to pop in my Add-a-fuse and needed a fuse for the top location, so I looked and found a spot at the top of the fuse block that had some spare fuses and grabbed one from there to use. Then I grabbed my MTB and went for a ride.

After my ride (where coincidentally I destroyed my rim and had to make the walk of shame down the mountain... 2 miles, 1000ft of vertical) I came back to my truck, loaded the bike and hopped in for my drive home.
As soon as I started to back out, the check engine light comes on. :annoyed::censored: Insult to injury!

Well, this morning I decide to take out the Add-a-Fuse just in case I buggered something up. Pull up the fuse block diagram online and what the F do you know... The "spare" fuse I pulled out was NOT a spare fuse. It was the fuse for my FUEL INJECTION!!!
    :frusty:

Moral of this story I guess is CHECK THE FUSE DIAGRAM BEFORE YOU GO PULLING SH1T OUT

Looking so sell my build slot that came up for production last week. I ended up getting impatient waiting for the Tundra Double Cab model to be finalized and got a deal on another topper with a name I won’t speak. Lol. Definitely want a SP eventually but I don’t want to deal with selling the camper I just bought. Anyway shoot me a message if you are interested. Just looking to get my $500 deposit.

My seams opened up again so here are those photos I didn’t have before. Talked to SP about this and they said they’d repair them if I drove on up. Sounds like a nice trip.8B968ABB-C853-416A-93FA-2A80B9D75A77.jpg48F7DCB5-2E50-4022-A979-B4BF35C78DA7.jpg

Glad they are going to fix it.. but damn.. sucks we have to drive up for small repairs like that. I'd be tempted to find some local upholstery shop or the like.

Yeah, there's another separation on the side and as I said it appears that this entire seam was simply glued and not sewn, or not sewn correctly at spots. So, if I were repairing this, I'd check the entire seam all around the top, and check the other seams as well. So I'm not going to pay for an upholstery shop to do all that. I'll either live with it or drive up there. But I have to ask, did people think there was some other warranty agreement? I didn't. Caveat emptor.

I've been using PLANO storage boxes for a while now and they not only work well as a seat, but you can also stand on them. I use one as a "step" to get into the truck bed all the time.
