I am a new member but long time follower of the website after purchasing my first Tacoma back in 2018.
So recently my A/C stopped working due to a faulty A/C clutch, decided to replace my compressor as there was some issues finding a replacement clutch in Canada. So reviewed a thread on here that spoke quite a bit about a replacement compressor as mine is running 1234yf refrigerant and the price of a compressor here is through the roof, so when looking started to notice design and mounts were identical whether it was a 1234yf or 134 compressor, but the prices were very different., So I find another thread on here that spoke to that and found out there is no difference between the two other then price. I picked up the 134 compressor for a great price installed it in the truck and recharged with 1234yf and the A/C runs cold, it has been running for 2 weeks now with no issues. So I hope this can help any one out there running into the same problem especially if you live north of the border.
