Back in January of 2020, I brought my 2016 Tacoma 4x4 Sport in for the frame corrosion inspection, and the frame was fine. I gave it a quick look also. But, according to the Notification I received, it said:
"When the Limited Service Campaign to apply CRC is announced, an additional owner notification will be sent to you advising you of the availability of that program. At that time, you will be encouraged to visit an authorized Toyota dealer WITHIN THE TWO YEAR PERIOD when the Limited Service Campaign will be available to have CRC applied".....
Also, further up in this notification it says:
"If the CRC is NOT applied to your vehicle within this two year period, you will not be eligible for the FRAME REPLACEMENT COVERAGE......"
The problem is I NEVER GOT THAT CRC notification. So, when does the "clock start ticking"? From the date of the inspection, which was January 2020, which is BEYOND two years?
Or from the date of the "CRC notification", which I never received?
When I had my frame inspected the dealer said they were not set up yet to do the CRC application, but would start in March of 2020, but when I called again, and they said they were STILL not ready yet. I forgot all about this, but now I'm a little concerned about whether the 12 year replacement warranty has been jeopardized over this CRC clause.
Anyone else in the same category of me and want to report their experience??

Meanwhile, I DID make an appointment with the dealer for August 8th, this Monday to have the CRC applied, and they did verify it was at no cost for me.
