tire size recommendations?

    I have a 3rd gen tacoma.

    looking to have a 2.5 inch lift in the front and 1.5 inch lift in the back.

    i have 17 inch rims. what’s the highest tire size i can go with no rubbing or modifications?

    265/70/17 is your best option for no rubbing or modifications...

    265/70/17 is as big as you can go with no modifications, these will fit a stock truck and still look good with a small lift. That is the size I'd choose. But you've already modified the truck. A lot depends on the wheels you are using. You should be able to get a 33", maybe a 34" tall tire to fit, but the width may cause you some problems. You may need to stay with a narrow tire.
