Hi there! I’ve had the truck for 5 months now, bought is used with 5k on it. I’m trying to under what kind of lift this truck has on it. I’m a noob when it comes to lifts, still learning so pls bear with me. The lift was there when I purchased it. It has the Pro Grill and the sensor on it.

Dont know the brand but looks like a cheapo two-inch coil spacer, with 1 or 1.5 inch leaf spring blocks.

    Spacers.

How many miles does the truck have on it now? That suspension has had a hard life in it's two years of service.

...looks like the previous owner raised those u-bolts from the dead sea, dipped them in grease, then and said "these would go perfect on my brand new truck."

Truck has 7.5K on it. I’m a noob when it comes to lifts. Can you recommend what I should replace it with. 95% of the time I’m on pavement.

What would you recommend I replace with. I’m 95% on pavement but want a solid brand to show the truck some love.

Lots and lots of ways to go depending on budget, preferred ride, etc ... I'll tell you what I did, but with the caveat that there are many ways to go, and you might want something different. I do strongly recommend you poke around the suspension threads on here until the vast number of possible lifts isn't so overwhelming anymore. :cookiemonster:

I chose one of the more popular setups for my suspension.

For me, I'm mostly pavement, I put a large number of towing miles on the truck, and most of my trails are light with the rare moderate thrown in. I chose the Billstein 6112/5160 combo with Icon 3 leaf AAL. Total bill was ±$1500 ish plus an alignment, I did my own install. I set the clip halfway up to give a 1.3-1.5" lift up front, rear was ~1.7 ish, but it rides perfectly level with trailer and bed gear, so that's where I want it.

Again there are many reviews on how it does, but its a firm, responsive setup. I especially like the rebound on them, I feel like the truck is more controlled even if it does ride a little stiff.

For a pavement rider, look into that one, but also check out reviews on the Bilstein 5100, Icon stage 1, Fox, maybe Ironman... to name a few. :hattip:

....many many ways to skin that cat my friend. Enjoy the research. :D

Thank you for the reply. Your usage sounds identical to mine. Mostly pavement, towing a camper a few times, light trails when camping.

My head is already hurting for the research and learning.

You’ve gotten some good advice here. I agree with those who mentioned the offerings from Eibach. Their kits are a lot of “juice for the squeeze.” American made and a solid warranty from a company that will, more than likely, be around to honor it. Bilstein also has some solid offerings as well. Do your homework, read, learn, & read some more! It can be overwhelming, but try to enjoy the process. That’s half the fun. Best of luck!

Thx for all the comments. I have been looking at this setup. Without getting crazy and OTT I want to basically…. 1) Upgrade the POS spacer block, 2)Upgrade OEM shocks
    3) I’m 95% pavement 4) light towing 3,000 lb camper 4)$$ restrictions.
I don’t want to get crazy as noted above. What are your thoughts?

My thoughts are that if you're pulling a camper you'll hate the rear block. From my limited knowledge blocks can be axle-wrap multipliers. Put a load on top of that and your rear end will feel a little on the wonky side at times, like it's trying to walk away from you. Worse, when it's empty and you're on loose gravel, axle wrap is the phenomenon that makes the ass end twerk like it's trying to impress the club DJ.

I'd recommend spending the extra Benjamin and get a 3-leaf pack instead. Something like this:

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p1239/HS_1.5"_lift_3_leaf_AAL_with_u-bolts_(PAIR)_-_HS-TOY516-3AL.html

My two cents. Everything else looks decent.

I went with the Eibach Setup. Have always been a fan of the company from my lowered car days, they did not disappoint, and the budget was left intact.

If towing 3k lbs semi regularly, leaf packs and shackles/hangars will make a huge difference in control on the rear and the trailer load.
