I asked about this a while back and could not find the stars/stripes/american flag themed overlays for the door 'TACOMA' and tailgate '4x4' badging (They did sell 'blackout' type
overlays). So i went with the 'decal' route that someone mentioned.

Someone else asked me about this so i figured i'd post the 'results' i went with.

    1) tailgate "4x4" is a semi custom...i only cut the 'x', the '4' were bought precut
The '4's are not from a tacoma. I bought them after market because they fit the decal.
    2) door 'TACOMA' - this is all hand cut.

When i had to do the cutting, i used an exacto knife.

I have my doubt about them holding up to the weather. But so far...so good in 100 degree
    heat/rain of summer and washing.

note: I am not an expert with an exacto knife

I was debating about buying a 'cricut' to cut these and make them fit better.
But the $$$ weren't worth it.

Oh man.... You’d better be careful! Flag purists jumped up a guys asshole for having a sticker of a flag facing left instead of right on his tailgate, I can’t imagine what they’ll think of you chopping it up :sadviolin:

Great work! Glad you got it the way you wanted. It always feels rewarding to custom make something rather than buying it pre-made

It's more about informing the person that stuff like this violates the federal flag code/code of colors, but it is also protected by the 1st amendment so it's not like it's criminal.

Chrysler is putting a "flag" on their Wagoneer as part of the brand badging and they didn't even bother to get that right.

Good thing I didn't overthink putting a flag sticker on my ride.
