    Update on the fire here.

Got some decent rain the last couple of nights which greatly helped knock it down. Had a couple new fires start and get put out quickly in the area. Last nights radar showed very little heat on the town side of the fire.

They also lifted the mandatory evacuation for the town so most people are home now. We were never in that zone but one street away.

Last night they saw 1-3” of rain on most of the fire. So much so that it washed a bridge out and took 4 vehicles with it. Trapped one person in the water in one truck for a while until the water receded and he got out. Crazy weather we have had the last few days but things are looking good now.

Packing our trailer up tonight to leave tomorrow afternoon for another camping trip. Will be nice to get away from this dang smoke.

Is that the .22 or 9mm charger? Looks like a .22 mag. If .22.. that's almost exactly how I want to build one for my truck gun. Couple changes but that's it. I saw you're putting yours behind the rear seat? I thought about that as well.. and have an area I started making for stuff like that.. but got some new Bartact seat covers that have mille all over the back of the seats.. and was thinking of making some mounts for that so it's right behind me or the passenger.

Glad to hear it’s improving. Will keep praying it gets only better and goes away for good. Cannot imagine going through this.

Glad it sounds like 80 may be in the clear, I'd be pulling my hair out playing the waiting game on a fire sheesh.

I'll ask 80 and anybody else who knows- does California do prescribed burns as preventative maintenance? I was always under the impression they did not, and maybe they should.

Ready for it to be fall, this summers been brutal. Shane's on solo duty for the rest of the weekend? Ice cream for dinner for the kids it is. Sorry to hear about your aunt. Going in our sleep is about the best we can ask for I reckon.

That’s the .22 I got. I’m wanting a gun rack behind the seat for a muzzle loader or 6.5 rifle and only for a day or two a week in deer season, the charger will just be for plinking and probably not much at that :D

Good morning Wrenchmen, I started my day with a beef and cheddar omelette. :hungry:

Actually impressed myself with it -- keep in mind that I have no real cooking skills so anything that rises above functional is always a bonus.

Let's go out and do something great!

    Good morning guys :hattip:

@Hunterdc1 i remembered hearing a tv report that Cali doesn’t do prescribed burns or haven’t done them in a long time.

2 Russians were visiting a beach in America. They went in the swim shop to buy a bathing suit. The owner sells them 2 of the banana hammock suits . One Russian tries his on and puts a potato in there to make his junk look bigger. He likes the look so he tells his friend to put a potato in his. As they are walking down the beach , they hear everyone laughing. One Russian says , I wonder what's so funny ? His friend looks and says , hey you're supposed to put the potato in the front.
