First off, let me say that the customer service with this company is freaking spectacular, I mean they email back & forth with me on a Saturday & Sunday at midnight (I work graveyards) and helped me trouble shoot some minor issues.

The install of this product was very simple and straight forward with the instructions & videos provided, with no cutting of OEM harnesses whatsoever.

The first issue I had was the the wires going into the black connector from the harness side made it's way out a little, causing the FOB & APP to not work.

The second minor issue I had was that the unit affected my DRL on my OEM LED headlights, but by combining two wires in the harness on the red clip side, this was resolved as well. Which I wish I would have contacted them sooner because I was going to bring the vehicle into the dealership to figure it out, because all of my fuse showed good and I went and un-installed all of my aftermarket audio and put the stock speakers back in because I was afraid the dealership would try to blame it on the audio system for some reason.

Hey Jimmy. Hopefully you can help me. I have a 2020 trd offroad h key manual and I'm really regretting this purchase. My first problem is that my remote start smartphone module loses service in my garage. I've made peace with this and started parking outside so that I could leave for work in a warm truck. BUT everytime I pull my truck into my garage to do any kind of maintenance or if bad weather is coming thru my smartphone module loses service and stops working for days/weeks. Also with this remote start if u leave ur keys inside the truck and shut the door it locks and now your keys are locked inside the truck. Which is pretty tragic if you are out wheeling or something out in the boonies.

In regards to the door locking on it's own with the key inside, I'm assuming there isn't a setting in the vehicle menu (on the headunit) to disable this?

No its because with the manual transmission u have to get it in ready mode by setting the ebrake and then letting off the brake and clutch then u pull the key and it stays running till u open and shut the door. At that point it locks which is pretty dangerous for leaving someone stranded. U can disable the ready mode by tapping the brake after the key is out and the truck will then turn off but will still lock the door behind u. I have a compustar in my other truck which does the same thing up till the shutting the door part. On that one the truck won't turn off till u lock it or if u disable the ready mode it will not lock the door behind u.

Smartphone modules don't like most garages because signal is sacrificed due to constructions material, insulation, a floor level above the garage, and potentially a mix of being rural on top. Signal being out for weeks? Not normal. We can address that with an update. The vehicle locking itself after you're supposed to exit is a safety feature. Can't remote start without a fob, so unless you leave it inside on accident, which isn't too easy to do because you have to take the keys out of the ignition before you exit, so it IS in your hands unless you set it down for some reason and exit. Most would realize this. You also have a smart phone that if this ever happened to you, you can use your phone to unlock. You also have a valet button so if you desire to put the system in valet mode so that it doesn't do this, take a look at the top illustration of the first page of your smart module document guide. Key in two clicks to on position, tap valet button 3 times within 10 seconds, and it's enabled when you see a small red light under the yellow jumper loop that comes off the SIDE of the module. Same process to disable "valet" (kill switch) mode. If you're still not 110% satisfied, we'll gladly take it back, but this is how it is and we haven't had this complaint yet so let us know what would make you happy, and we'll do it. No questions asked.

Yea if I could return it that would suit me best. The garage thing sucks and I understand that it sounds stupid to forget and toss the keys on the passenger seat when I get out for a minute while I'm out messing around in the mountains but it happens and is too catastrophic of a possibility. Yes there is the smartphone module to remedy that but first of all it hasn't been working very reliably and secondly there's lots of gaps in cell service in the backcountry.

Not a problem, email support@n2designsinc.com with your order number for an RMA. However, what you're experiencing is not a reflection of our hardware or connectivity, rather a rare scenario that is enhanced with ruralness. Cell phones don't work in the mountains either to be fair. I do however, want to make this clear to anyone else who may see this that this just so happens to be your environment and situation, which we can certainly respect. We don't want you to have an expensive paper weight either. We'll take care of it for you. However, please correspond through the email provided as this forum isn't our website or database to process anything, rather only for dialogue. I don't want to spam the thread (or forum) with order and RMA processing. Much appreciated!

My 2019 came equipped with the N2 Designs remote start with the cell option when I bought it used. I have not really had time to play around with it since I got the truck until this past week when the weather prompted me to make it a priority and dig in to see if I could figure out how to make it work. I could not and I emailed @N2DesignsInc on Thursday of last week explaining my situation. I received a reply email the next morning with the offer to call me and get it all sorted out. My phone rang on Friday evening (West Coast to East Coast) with N2 on the line and willing to help me trouble shoot for as long as it took. I can't get over the outstanding customer service, knowledge, and willingness to help they provide. Our phone call was lengthy (because I kept screwing up and was working outside and in the dark) and I got ZERO complains or voiced frustration from N2. By the end of the call I was confident in how to use the remote start with my manual transmission with the H key and the app. I can't say enough good things about this company and as soon as they have the unit for our 2012 4Runner back in stock, I will be ordering one for it as well!

Hey I was wondering if you have a picture of what wires you combined. Thank you!
