Probably not the shocks unless they are blown. Is the truck stock? Running a spacer lift? Blocks in the rear? How much load are you carrying? What tire pressure are you running? What tires are you running?

2022 stock truck . I know I should have got the Off Road for a better ride but I like the painted trim and the hood and I don't go off road much if any .

I have heard of this. Give it a try. You can find cheap new takeoffs from an OR and see if you like it.

Like he said, TRD OR OEM shocks ride softer.

I would not recommend it, unless you plan on never towing or putting anything heavy in the bed.

Softening just the rears is going to make the truck feel unbalanced. I would also worry about slamming the bump stops (to be fair, it didnt take much for the stock sports to land on the bumpstops either).

It's a truck, no suspension will be perfect. Your best options are:
    • buy a set of off-road takeoffs for dirt cheap (people on TW sell them all the time, and its easy to find a set with less than 5000 miles on them) and do all four corners - Truck rides much softer, but its not going to have the best cornering maneuverability. That isn't a major issue however, several people on here really enjoy the OR suspension.
    • Pony up a little more and buy a budget aftermarket like Eibach, Bilstein, or Icon - Truck still rides and corners a little on the firm-ish side (depending on brand), but is much smoother overall.
    • Pay big bucks for a high end aftermarket suspension - Truck can take anything and feels great, too bad your bank account is now too empty to go enjoy it. :cookiemonster:

If you really hate the harshness, I'd recommend trying out a set of lightly used OR shocks. A few people on here have swapped all four corners while keeping the front swaybar in, and wound up loving the ride.

Might be just me but I’m loving how the Sport suspension feels compared to my 2003 with BILSTEINs all around.

I have to agree, I really don't think the ride is bad at all. It is after all a truck and I'm not expecting to ride like a big ole Detroit road sofa. Given that one of the main reasons I bought a truck was to have the option of towing my Honda Goldwing to places in a UHaul trailer, the last thing I want to do is soften up the suspension, especially the rear.

I think the suggestion that others have offered the OP makes the most sense. Look for someone with some low mileage OR takeoffs, switch all 4 out, and give it a shot. Hold on to your Sport components. If you don't like the ride you can always change back and you haven't dropped a ton of cash.

This. Double check you aren't running super high.

add to that: even a few psi makes a huge difference, especially over empty truck beds.

The sport's ride stiff. Personally I'd swap out both front and rear with some OR take-off's instead of just the rear. Keep everything balanced that way. They can be found with low miles super cheap and are pnp.

There was a post on TW some years back where a Sport owner replaced his rear shocks with Bilstein 4162s (if I'm not mistaken). He claimed it did away with the pronounced rear hop you get with the Sport on uneven road surfaces. I live in rural Maine, the land of few truly smooth roads :D, and the hop is my only complaint with the Sport, but not enough to compel me to do anything about it. Yet.
