    Well, it got to be about 7 pm and the power company outage map jumped from an estimated repair time of 7:30 to 12:00 noon tomorrow. :censored:

    I do have a small generator (5hp) up here that should work, it did about 10 years ago...

    I excavated it out of the shed and lugged it down the hill to the house (portable my @$$, that thing is heavy) :ballchain:, fortunately I had run it dry of gas all those years ago.

    Pull, pull, pull -- Vroom! :)
    Plugged an electric heater in, 120 steady volts, perfect. :):)
    Ran an extension cord through the kitchen window and got the fridge going + a few lights. :):):)
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    And then in less than 10 minutes the power came back on. :notsure: :rolleyes:

    6-1/2 hours off.

    My phone hardly ever rings and 90% of the calls I get are robocalls. I have noticed however that if the damn thing is going to ring it will be when I have gone in the bathroom and not taken it with me.

    So I just take it in with me and it doesn't ring. :) Tranquility.

    Always the way!!

    Get the generator all checked out shut off the pump and kitchen breakers fire it up .

    a few minutes later the other lights come on.
