I'm looking for skid plate options for my 2011 TRD Off-Road and really only like the aesthetics of the OEM TRD version (white with red lettering) - but can't seem to find it for my 2011 2nd gen. Is it available for this truck year/model?

    Thanks,
    Jason

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Are you talking about the 3rd gen skid plate? If so, it'll fit. You can pick up knockoffs on Amazon (I did) or Ebay without the lettering.

Here's the official 2nd gen skid plate, quite a bit thinner.

Toyota only made the silver plate with red lettering for the 3rd gens. Like I posted above, that's the 2nd gen skid plate. Here's a shot of the Pro as tested by C/D, doesn't even appear to have a skid plate. You might have better luck trying to find the 3rd gen p/n and bolting that up if you want that style.

    Thanks Clip.

Okay, since the below plate was only made for 3rd gen. my next question becomes...

Is it possible to make this work on a 2nd gen (2011)? Willing to modify.

My educated guess is yes. I bolted one up to my 2015 with no modifications. Since the 2011 and 2015 are both able to take the stock 2nd gen skid plate, I'm guessing bolt holes will be in the exact same locations on your truck.
