I’m wanting to upgrade the breaks on my 07 TRD Sport. Calipers, rotors and pads! Looking for plug & play calipers & rotors that need no modifications… if that’s a thing! Also suggestions for upgrading rear drums!
Any info is greatly appreciated! :)

There’s more than one way, for the front. There’s the big brake kit, I think by power stop. Then several different people have found several different ways to end up with a Frankenstein kit. Some even posted with detailed instructions, list of parts, and what tools are needed.

I know it’s been done for the rear, swapping drums for discs, replacing the master cylinder, making the parking brake work.

    Happy searching and wrenching.

If you're not doing much and your not going to have a heavy one down the line rear disc won't give you much benefit (I have Stoptech BBK on the rear). Its nice e break is not great.

The front does some searches but a few options. But all of these do not require many upgrades, but if you have a sport, the BBK kits would benefit from the upgraded master but are not required.

    Stainless lines front and rear

Powerstop and Stoptech rotor and pad upgrades
There are a ton of different pad compounds depending what you're doing with EBC, Hawk, etc.
    Stoptech Rotors
    DBA Rotors
    EBC Rotors

    Tundra Brake upgrade
    Stoptech BBK for 16" wheels

    These all require 17" wheels.

all of these run 338mm or 340mm rotors

5th Gen 4runner Upgrade (see the link in my signature). Slightly bigger piston and bigger rotors

    Stoptech BBK
    Powerstop BBK
    Willwood BBK
Willwood Aero6 BBK from RR Racing. You can run with 5th gen 4runner rotors
    Powerstop BBK
A few other BBK options are out there.

How many breaks do you really need to take man? Lol.

That said, I also thought the factory brakes were super weak. Upgraded to the Powerstop Z36 pad and rotor kit with 1200 miles on my truck and braking is significantly stronger. Lots cheaper than paying for new calipers that you don't really need unless you're planning to track the truck or add 2000 lbs.
