Window visor/deflector check in

I'm thinking about installing some AVS visors on my 2022 DCSB. Just wanted to check in for those who have had them for some years to see if there were any draw backs. I do have my fronts tinted and was wondering if this can damage/peel the tint eventually due to the additional pressure. Also, if i decide to remove them years down the road if any unwanted remanence or damage will remain.

 

Have AVS in-channel. They have been great. Matte black creates a thick blind spot but completely manageable. Also the rears tend to bend and flap at higher speeds but have stayed in place. Weights would solve this issue. Works great in rain and for general ventilation without wind blast. I dig them and if I got another truck would put them on again.

put them on a month after i got the truck and they have worked great. i did drop one on the ground installing it, but its still stuck on there. no issues with the auto windows either

 

I've had front only AVS and tinted windows for a few years now. No problem with tinting wearing down, can't speak for removing as I never plan to. No notable change in wind noise. I love leaving the window cracked in the summer to keep the cab cool and not having to worry about rain. Mine are dark translucent.
FYI, weather tech also makes a set, but theirs come down lower by the rear view mirrors, i didn't like the look, cant speak to difference in performance.

 

That was one of the first thing I purchased. In channel and hood deflector.

 

If you live south of the Mason Dixon line, then get 'em!! If you live north of the line; you have my sympathies.

I have had them on every truck I have ever owned. Great to be able to vent a parked or moving vehicle during the hotter months without worrying about rain getting in. Did I mention I was a big fan.

 

In channel, 2 years, still as good as new.

 

Between the A pillar, mirror and in-channel my only complaint with my rig is that phat ass blind spot. But I love my in-channel AVS.

 

In the channel low profile and love them. Windows were tinted after the AVS installation with no issues with wind etc etc. love them also had a front low profile bug deflector which works well. Over all very good quality products and I would recommend them.

I have had the tinted in the channel AVS visors and they were great. I have tinted windows and no issues at all. The tint is on the inside of the glass and the visors only make contact with the outside of the glass. I did notice it was a strain on the glass going up but it always went up fine. No issues, they look great but I just took them off to give my truck a cleaner less cluttered look. I also used the bug shield/wind deflector and removed it as well. Just a cleaner look and the bug shield did very little at keeping the bugs off the windshield. I like the clean look and I do use the bug shield if I do any long distance driving. I think by not using the vent visors it sounds quieter inside at highway speeds.

 

No place I would rather be.

I just like how they look to be honest.

 

Go for it, they're great. I wouldn't buy any other brand, had them on my old jeep for 8 years and they were still good as new when i sold it. I put a set on my truck first thing, they still look as good as the day I bought them in January 2021. I have the inies, a buddy of mine has outies on his taco, they look good too.



Edit to add: I first bought a set of Goodyear window deflectors. They broke upon installation because they extended down towards the mirrors, they weren't very flexible. So there's that. Never got my money back from Extreme Terrain for those..
