Smittybilt rtt

Anyone have any experience with the Smittybilt rtt. I found a gen1 only used a couple nights for 800. Is the gen2 worth the extra 6-700 (new). This will be our first rtt.

 

I have had a Gen 1 for quite a few years and I have had no problem with the tent. The straps that cinch the cover dow rotted and I replaced them, that has been the only issue.

 

A gen one is like $900 new at 4wheel parts.

At that under thousand price range, all the tents are gonna be pretty much the same made in china quality. You could get a overland vehicle systems for $850 shipped with coupon code “Vincedprince”.
