You guys sure can be awful at being a welcoming, non-judgemental automotive community.

By awful, I mean the worst.

The dude flat out said he's using these as steps and aesthetics, and yet you still feel the need to belittle his decision as much as you can, like wtf? Are you actually that miserable?

If it weren’t for the mounting nut that broke off, I would use these…I don’t off-road lol!

Exactly. You would thing these ding dongs would know Avid has been making these for a long time now. It’s the look of a slider for a step usage.

OP enjoy the new steps and truck.

Are those for a long or short bed? Long beds are even harder to find since most people who offroad prefer short bed. Anyhow, good for you for finding a good deal. I considered going with used sliders before doing more research and finding out about the AVID steps. The only one I could find for a 2nd gen long bed was for $700.

I appreciate the support. I knew my post was going to get a lot of criticism so I tried to be clear about the purpose. There are some good people on here that have given me helpful ideas in the past. Just wanted to give back to the community and make this post in case there might be other Taco owners who want to go my route instead of actual sliders.

Oh yea, my Method wheels aren't real beadlocks either so I'm probably going to get some criticism on that too.

Method has bead grip with ridges to prevent the bead from unseating. They’re about the same price as non bead grip models
