Any potential issues with installing Diode Dynamics SS3 with just their basic Light duty 2 pin wire harness?

Did Toyota change part numbers for the Turn signal stalk switch on the 2022? I pulled the one installed in my 2022 and it shows part number 0284017J016. I replaced with 84140-0R010 and everything seems to work as it should though.

Would like to do this mod on my 22 SR. Anyone who has done this recently, can you share which Fog lights (part #) you went with? The part number in the OP is no longer carried by a lot of dealers, and those that still have it, it cost like $150+ per side. I'm fine with non-led fogs, just not sure which ones to buy. Thanks!

I've came across part # PT85742192 & PT85742193. But those appear to be LED Fogs. Not sure if they'd work on my '22 SR, or how it would look; LED Fog lights with Halogen Headlights.

Does anyone know which and where to get the fog light relay. I'm doing this install on my 22 Trail Edition that didn't come with fog lights.

I believe your able to install without the use of Relay if using the Diode Dynamics Light Duty Output 2-Pin Wire Harness

I'm following the instruction so I bought the engine bay harness, the fog lights and a oem fog light switch. I just need the relay. The factory one is $75 and autozone nor O'Reilly has it. Does the 2020 or 2021 relay fit?

If I do the Dynamics Light Duty Output 2-Pin Wire Harness will I still need the engine bay harness?

A standard A/C relay for Toyota will work, I got mine from Amazon. The one I bought is no longer there but these list the OEM relay part number on post#1.

If you’re doing the post1 Nitori mod, the fog light symbol on your display will function as it should. If you’re doing a mod like posts above with a harness to the battery and switch you’re not doing the Nitori mod and the symbol on the dash display won’t illuminate when your fog lights are on.

Mine came with the relay installed, but no fog lights.

Would it be possible to use an aftermarket relay also triggered by the switch to ground the wire to the computer(or one installed by me)? With no oem harness or relay the only thing the computer could do is activate the symbol on the dash. One thing I’ve noticed is the switches left of the wheel aren’t very visible.

If your Taco doesn't have the relay in the engine bay fuse/relay box, it might have the terminal to it. Have you verified if you have the interior blue wire?

I’m not sure what you are asking or how you are thinking of wiring your fog lights. Doing the post 1 Nitori mod or something else? also not sure of how 2nd gen fogs are wired, perhaps Caribe has a schematic.

Not prewired. No blue wire, no relay, and no harness. So I installed a set of oem lights hooked up to a Bussman rtmr and an aftermarket switch. The second relay would ground an added wire that takes the place of the blue wire only coming from the second relay instead of the lighting stalk.

Just the base model 5-lug ‘14 AC. It came prewired for the rear camera and had power mirrors, windows and door locks but nothing else. I’ve added heated seats, fogs, heated mirrors, F/R anytime cameras, on the fly air bags, oba, and a few other fixed odds/sods.
