HI all, thanks for the add... put in order back in APRIL for a sr5 longbed... well as of today, they are saying I won't see it till October..... SO I backed off on my original desire for a 6 foot bed figuring I might be able to get into a truck sooner than later. I came across a dealership locally who has a TRD OFF ROAD, in the color I wanted... I can get it in 2 weeks... I am retiring in a year and may pull a camper at some point (retirement dream)... I am not likely to go off roading with it, but wonder is the trd off road a good daily driver? I hate waiting till OCTOBER and interest rates have jumped 3x since I put money down on a truck last April... so I am feeling like this may be a reasonable alternative... just wonder what thougths were around this "off road" as a daily driving vehicle and ocasional 300 mile trip to see my kids truck... THANKS EVERYONE

    Welcome to the forum:hattip:

An Off-Road will be fine as a daily driver. It will have a few more gizmos and dials then the SR5, and the suspension will be a little softer riding. Other then that, it is a Tacoma. They are basically all the same.

As for all the gizmos, there are so many Off-Road owners out there that don't take thier trucks off road... they are daily driven pavement princesses. And they work fine as that.

Good luck with your decision

It will be just as good or arguably better riding than the SR5.
The Off-road will make a fine Daily Driver

I agree . I have a 19 off road and It does have a decent on rode ride. My buddy has a sport which is based off the sr5 and the off rode is slightly softer
