For the love of god people why do you willing buy POS parts from ebay and Amazon and expect good results from no name brand parts. For "most people" the second most expensive thing they own is their daily driven vehicle that they rely on, so why in the world do people keep buying crap that they know possible wont work. Every day on here theres a thread with I bought such and such part from ebay andbamazon and it doesnt work or it doesn't fit. Makes me go:annoyed:

    End rant

There’s also a lot of threads of people complaining about expensive, domestically made products not purchased through Amazon or eBay that don’t fit or work.

Everything is made in China now. So it's really moot as to where you get it from.

This is why I support and approve of folks buying custom made and designed parts here in the US. We may be a country who has made it a HORRIBLE (yet understandable TO AN EXTENT) habit of outsourcing, but our folks here at home still make and design fantastic items which are made to be bolt on as well as PnP for our primary and secondary use vehicles and for that I will happily pay $$ every time if a better made in country solution exists as an alternative to cheap outsourced lowest bidder crap that will break in 5 minutes post install.

The Stoptech axle pack (brakes) for my Camaro came from China as do the Wix filters. I don't like it, but not many alternatives these days. It is what it is. :notsure:

Well I mean...that's where most 3rd Genners buy their lighting and overland mods.

That and 1st Genners buying the cheapest LBJ's possible.

    They'll learn, maybe, IDK.

Meh. I live in a moral gray area.

If it's a cheap ripoff of a small business, no way Jose, I'll put dinner on the little guy's table every time.

If it's a cheap ripoff of a publicly traded corporation, fuck 'em, I'll buy the cheap shit.

Don't ask me to look too deep into my own hypocrisy.

I feel this way about knock off snorkels for example. If I’m not going to purchase the $500+ Original ARB, then why in the hell would I waste $250 on a marked up middle man clone like a dobinsons or Ironman when I can get an eBay/Amazon snorkel with the same shit template and hardware for $100?

I couldn’t agree more. I cringe every time I see one of those Amazon roof racks or bed racks.
