Did plugs and wires last night, finally. Fired right up after install. The Denso plugs had exactly 37,579 miles on them. Not too bad considering the mileage, and they were about 3.5 years old. Job was pretty quick and painless since I had another set of hands to help.

They dont look bad at all!

I think my next maintenance job is going to be on Girly’s crosstrek. She has a brake pad sticking on the passenger side rear and I can feel it dragging on the inside. Stupid floating caliper design. Its been super rainy and mucky out so i’m sure its sticking because of that. The brakes are almost brand new and everything is coated/lubed properly

I’m right behind you. New pads and rotors are next up on my to do list, along with a brake fluid flush. I’ve got Brembo rotors and Hawk pads sitting in the house currently. After that, I’d like to knock out my fuel filter, but the outlet nut is starting to round off so I’m holding off on it for a bit. Aside from that, I should be smooth sailing for a while.

I never flushed the brake or clutch fluid on my 4runner. It was like syrup Everything worked so well, I was afraid to mess with it since the clutch was original

Imma be honest I haven’t ever touched my brake fluid on this truck… I know, I know, shame on me. But I’d like to do it soon to see if it improves brake pedal firmness. I plan to knock them out once I get back from vacation.

Five years ago today I got my 4Runner back from the insurance company after being involved in a hit and run that left it totaled. I held onto it and fixed it with the insurance money/out of pocket. Sure glad I did. That was around 251K. Currently at 316K. Long live Toyota!!!
