I’m looking at getting a xpress h20b or h22b. Which would be a 20 or 22 foot bay boat roughly weighing in around 2700 lbs in total. Any one have trouble at steep ramps?

That’s not heavy so it’ll be fine. Only prob could be cross winds while towing if it’s reall tall

Boats tow easy. Its those big bread box enclosed cargo trailers that can make you pucker in strong crosswinds or black ice.

This is the question ... If not 4wd, an open dif, and lack of low range may be a little frustrating. But should be ok without making too much tire and clutch smoke.

No worries, I pull a 23' open bow ski boat from time to time with no issues, taking obvious precautions.IMG_20200716_131348~2.jpg

Consider a weight distribution receiver/hitch setup depending on tongue weight to keep everything level which helps to avoid sway.

piece of cake. Previously had a '17 2.7 with the 5 speed, put it in 4lo and it nearly idled up the boat ramp

I would opt to get the 2 low mod for deploying the boat.

I pull a 3k aluminum jet boat all over the pnw with my 6 mt Tacoma. 2 lo mod is a must have for the ramps.
Don't be afraid to run the RPM up!

Skip to 1:43 for the Lexus GX towing way out of its league, you'll have no issues. Used an older Prerunner on a boat ramp and brought the tow straps just in case, if its a modern ramp you'll have no issues.

Not sure why people are suggesting the 2 LO mod when 4 LO will do the same job better. Get those front wheels pulling you up from where the water line hasn't been.

I pull a tandem jet ski trailer in and out of a sand ramp just fine. You should be good, OP. You're not much heavier than that (~2000lbs with fuel).
