I can't stand those fuckers I mean geese... I was at Arbys for lunch years ago, I got my food through drive-thru. Then I parked my truck in the parking space ... then eat my lunch.... One of them came up and knocked on my driver side door with mouth... I was like "WTF? Stop it!" That fucker kept knocking... I had to tear small piece of beef and threw out to the pavement away from my truck...

I have some 1/2 nylon rope. Would that be a sturdy enough? It lifts my tool bags (so about 80 pounds?), but my tool bags don’t bite.

Post the Turtle for FreeFiddy in Colorado Trading Post with stipulation that Buyer must remove from premises. Then film the encounter for click bait

Few weeks back I saw a guy walking a turtle, IDK if it was a snapper, but that's whats usually around. When I fist saw the turtle, I thought what is wrong with that dog. Oh that's a dog it's a turtle. Hold on people don't walk turtles, I thouught oh that's one of those foam puppets that look like a turtle. What grown man would be walking down the street in the middle of the afternoon with a puppet? Then I thought, oh he's got a drone, but I have yet to see a life like radio controlled turtle, and why would anyone have one if some place sold them.

The turtle was real, and I'm guessing the guy found it in his yard and was making sure it made it's way back to the water. The turtle had to way at least 50lbs.

If it is an immediate threat, yes. If its just an annoyance, I think we can do better. My understanding of the situation is that it is the latter, not the former. Though I admit I havent read every page so I could have missed something.

I get a little sensitive about turtles cause they're my favorite, even though the snappers kinda scare me too. Pardon my overzealous response. I don't mean offense.

Instead of getting rid of the turtle, i think you need to find another one.....

I thought he said he had small dogs and I know they can be antagonistic to snappers that won't hesitate to defend themselves. If it's not a problem today it could be a week or month from now when the dog happens upon it back in the yard. I personally wouldn't take that risk with my dogs as I value my dogs life much greater than a random turtles. I would do the same to a wild hog, copperhead snake, cotton mouth, etc.

You never know what's going on in the backyard...

Years ago, I had a dog that got stung by little fuckers I mean fire ants in the backyard. Her mouth was swollen up.. Took her to the vet to get treated.

Thats fair. I just hate killing animals, even if they're problematic.

    Lifted, Armored, needs more lights.
Their jaws have a ton of power but rope isn't solid enough for them to slice through. We used this to drag them away from our fishing holes after reeling them in.

Yeah, this is just an annoyance. I should clarify it is in my front yard, and I live directly across from a reservoir. There is quite a bit of wild life over there for being in the middle of the city. I’ve seen the turtles over there before, but I have never had one cross the road to come to my house. That was the first thing that struck me as odd yesterday, but I just left it alone as it want bothering anything. Then come 4 this morning, it woke my up clawing at the glass to my basement window. Also, would help to clarify, this isn’t a new fangled egress windows well. This is old school 70’s style. Think a half circle, 3’ diameter, 2’ deep corrugated metal thing. I guess I need to make some covers now so this doesn’t happen again.
I do have little dogs. And that turtle would probably beat them in a fight for sure. But we never let the dogs out the front, just the back. Now I did say I am a big softy when it comes to animals, and that is true. But I also carry a “Judge” handgun (it’s a revolver that can shoot 410 shotgun shells if you aren’t familiar) that we have dubbed “The Coyote Cannon” whenever we take the dogs outside. I have a 6’ fence, and a smaller inner 3’ fence, but if anything climbed one of those fences or flew over (we get a lot of hawks and stuff), and became a threat to my little fluff-balls, then it’s a different story. I love animals, and my dogs sit at the top of that love pyramid for sure :)
Luckily the worst we have gotten in the back yard was a bot fly. Just one, but that was gross enough. Those are the ones that lay eggs under your skin. Freaking gross…. :puke:

That makes sense. My nephew has a Macca (big blue parrot. No idea if I spelled that correctly) and it has tear through walnuts and stuff, but can’t go though a shoe lace without working it for a while.

Two turtles enter, one turtle leaves!
Of course, I’d have to dress like Tina Turner to make it official and everything.
