Did you Ohm the stator? Going by memory, they should have .02-.06 resistance.

If you have a meter that beeps when continuity is present, then the stator is shot. Measure the 2 conductors coming out of the stator.

If you feel like gambling, PM me your addy and I'll send you these extras. You will have to figure out their polarity, but they are yours if you want to play around. these came out of 3 different machines. 2 Koehler's and 1 Kawasaki.

I've had plenty of peeps help me out with things I need for free, so I have no issue doing the same.

Mornin folks. I don't know much about being square... but this seems a little fucky. The right side of the deck is sitting almost a foot lower than the left. This is what we put a couple tons of logs on to get them in our mill. Needless to say, it's getting new supports.

For $35 I'll just buy new. I haven't looked them up yet. Agreed, not worth messing with the old one for pocket change.

The guy selling the magnets on eBay includes two magnets, one North, one South. I'd just need to identify which broke and epoxy it in place. Unless I can find a relatively inexpensive flywheel.

No welding, they're just epoxied in place. This one will be easy since it came off clean. And yeah, if my grass doesn't get mowed it's not a big deal. Haven't mowed in nearly a month anyway, it's been so dry.

Not yet, was going to look up the specs on it. Only played around with it for about 15 minutes in the dark. I'll make note of that and see what it's got for resistance. For $35 I might just replace it. I do have a good Fluke Multimeter.

PM sent. I love this community, thank you! I'll give 'em a try!

What's meant by N and S? Is that based on the curvature? I ask because a monopole magnet is only theoretical and has never existed.

I'm guessing its like 1x (SN( and 1x (NS(

Looks like that foundation wall gave and then the metal structure went with it.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
*** In my case it was trying to replace the magnets on engine drive welder fly wheels they all failed in less then 10 hours.

Since the Fly wheels come from the engine manufacture they will not share what epoxy they use it must be a special blend.

Just cheaper with the labor to just replace the Fly Wheel the first time then do it again.
