Just realized I never posted here. I am super impressed with the HH, really all the AG products that I have received. Here is my install of the hangers in case anyone is curious of the process.

Hey! I watched your video back when doing my HHs. Very helpful, the vice grip trick saved me a lot of hassle. Thank you!

just a thought...because the hammer hangers crossbar eliminates space for the spare tire, will archive garage come out with a tire relocation kit? just cant find a tire relocation method that I like.

no can do for me :( i got a outgear solutions HC bumper, but besides that i dont like the idea of all that weight hanging out behind the bumper and hindering the visibility of the taillights from certain angles. as the saying goes, there are no solutions only trade offs haha. would love a kit that placed the spare flat centered in the bef between the two rear tires. i guess ill add 4 anchors to the bed frame bolts and hold the tire down with two ratchet straps

Then put it in the bed, if that isnt an option, then dont run the cross bar.

Nfab has some solutions for this.

I got their rail mounted spare tire rack years ago that they unfortunately don't seem to make anymore. Takes up more space in the box but I've only got the 2 back bolts in so it can flip up and I can run sheets of plywood or whatever underneath still.

Sorry if this was asked before, but I have a question on which Hammer Hangers to grab. If I plan on doing the SUA soon, but currently have atlas springs at stock location, will the 4" HH work on my setup? What will be the effect vs 3"?

Ewww don't do SUA haha. But yeah you can run 4.0 shackles just slightly lowers rear (~1/4") and would limit droop slightly with long SOA springs because of longer shackle

going to install my hangers soon. curious as to what people did to treat the spot where the oem hangers were? im assuming im gunna run into a little bit of rust and also some tiny grinding damage to the frame trying to get the rivets out? im thinking im going to sand off that entire area, put some etching primer on it, and put a coat of paint on it. will that be good enough? ive seen running4tacos put a steel spray om the frame before installing their hangers...

Just like you said, that's good, I would recommend adding a step of a rust dissolving solution rubbed in with scotch brite before the primer.

I really like the product Krud Kutter Must for Rust. Turns steel light grey (like blasted steel) so you see it working, dissolving rust.
YouTube Project Farm did a comparison and Krud Kutter was very effective for the cost, and it has proven very good in my use to.
