Anyone pull a boat with their 3rd gen 6mt? Xpress h20b or h22b

    I agree. I guess where the 2lo mod shines would be if you were pulling the boat out on concrete and had to turn immediately which would bind up the 4wd. All of my boat ramps are straight besides the ones in the swamp which would be dirt/gravel.

    yep. Could've pulled out 2 boats, its basically a little tractor when its in low range. I didnt do the 2lo mod but i would have if i still had the truck. I was just careful about putting it back in 2hi once i got on flat ground, never once smelled clutch

    Dads 1972 Ford station wagon with two fiberglass canoes on top, towing a 1968(?) SeaRay deep V fiberglass, 21' boat with trailer, 85hp. Evinrude outboard engine, four filled gas cans, water skis, paddles, trolling motor and battery, camping gear included two tents, two canopies, two Coleman stoves, two folding steel tables, ice box refrigerator, two filled metal coolers , four - five gallon jugs of water, Coleman lanterns with 8' steel poles, sleeping bags, pillows, fishing gear, chairs and everything else needed for six people to stay for two weeks. Our towing Needs, have certainly changed...

    Reminds me of my very first fishing trip to northern quebec in a vw bus that blew the engine on the way back from hauling too much cargo. we had just about everything except the 21' boat. Took over 25 hrs to cover 900 miles just to get to our destination.
