So I think going to 37's contributed to my spindle breaking (full crack). Looking to upgrade a couple things to handle the trails I run. I plan to get my new spindles gusseted, and move onto the Tundra steering rack. Question for the group though. Are upgraded LCA a measurable increase over stock? I know UCA's are but if I can save $1000 by sticking with OEM, and being in the clear I'd prefer to do that.

I'm not on 37s nor do I crawl, wheel, trail run, etc

But my logic and based on this spindle fracture, I think some stock width fabb'ed lcas would be your first choice. Then rebuild the stock lcas as trail spares.

The budget friendly solution would be to rebuild the stock lcas with aftermarket bushings and stock BJs. The truck will be down for the tundra rack install, so might as well rebuild the arms during that time?

Whatever the case, I would avoid the Moog or Dorman lca as a substitute. I saw a thread here recently where the lower shock mount area cracked/collapsed on a Moog lca. If you're able to crack the spindle, I'm leaning that you'll be capable of damaging a moog arm.

    Just my two pennies..

Yes. Didn't research enough when I bought the truck last year, said it had a 3" lift, so I didn't figure it had a drop kit.

Sounds like you've already figured out drop brackets exist to put on larger tires, and aren't constructed to be abused. you probably won't find anything other than replacements for that spindle, AFAIK there are no gussets for lifted spindles, just OEM spindles.

Ive seen that happen a few times, most with 33s and 35s. Rc spindles are just trash.

What other 4" Spindles are there? The Maxtrac ones say they are for 2wd only. I could try to get the

The Fabtech found here: https://fabtechmotorsports.com/prod...esi-coilovers-rear-dirt-logic-shocks-k7039dl/ but it says I have to have 17" wheels (I have 16's).

I've never heard of RBP before my search today. http://www.rollingbigpower.com/lift_kits.php

Can you buy stock LBJs? I didn't think they were available (I'm getting ready to replace mine and my limited research says moog or other after market are the only ones sold in singles) or are you suggesting pressing out the OEs?

Dont quote me on this, but my research shows that the LBJs can be bought seperately and used after you press out the OEs.

PN 43330-09510 Toyota Joint assy, lower ball, front 4333009510

The stock LBJs are sourced from the toyota dealerships in the middle east and/or japan.

I have a set of stock lcas that i want to rebuild with whiteline bushings and the toyota LBJs. I havent pulled the trigger yet so I cant confirm fitment.

Then I need to re-weld the X-Member that the previous owner cut. That seems more sketchy.
Sent them an email, waiting to hear back. But their lifted spindle says it's for 2WD only: https://camburg.com/shop/suspension/susp-spindles/camburg-toyota-tacoma-05-4-0-performance-spindles/
