I have a wireless car play adaptor that works fine. What I would like to know is what determines what apps make it on the display. I know there is a list in setup/general/carplay. What I don't understand is what decides whats in the list. I have a silly police scanner app that is on the list that I don't care to have there and the app to open my driveway gate is not. I would love to be able to open the gate via touch screen instead of picking up the phone, open the app and hitting the button.
    Any help? Thanks, Charles

Not sure if you can delete the apps, but you can re-arrange them. Can always put it at the end.

If your driveway gate is controlled by HomeKit it should show up. My garage door does. It's location aware, so it only shows it as I'm approaching home.

I understand this is where it's done but can't get my app to show up in that list. Any trick to do that?

Yup sadly only apps that Apple approves will work on carplay.
