Ok guys read a lot of posts on here and don’t want to create another thread on an existing issue, but i need some help.

08 Tacoma TRD Sport bought with i non working AC. Compressor replaced (wasn’t operating correctly). Cold only through one vent (driver side), gets warmer as vents go towards passenger side). Condenser good. Desiccant bag replaced, expansion valve replaced, still not solved. Got colder in the one working vent.

Pretty deep into this can it be a mode control issue??

Cold on one side, warm on the other side. Possible Mode Door or Mode Door Actuator. Is it dual Zone HVAC?

Typically air that is cold out of one vent and gets progressively warmer across the others is a symptom of low refrigerant or an issue with the refrigeration circuit but it could also be a broken blend door.
Did you replace the expansion valve screen when you replaced the valve?

Check to see if the suction line is cold where it exits the firewall, that will tell you if it's a refrigeration problem or not.

2nd gens didn't have dual zone A/C on any trim level so an actuator issue would change the temperature on all vents unless the door was physically broken.

Low on refrigerant. Either go to a shop and have the AC evac and recharged or try topping it off with one of those disposable AC cans.

If it is low on refrigerant there is a reason, usually a leak somewhere. A dye test will usually find it.
