22 trd off road with many probs

Had my 22 trd offroad for about 2 weeks. Found multiple problems. 1st the plastic trim nside the cab is getting scratched/discolored every i open and close the doors. Noticed cracks in the clear coat on the hood yesterday. Starting looking more closely and noticed the gap and looseness of the 2 black rub pieces on the front bumper. Going back to the dealership tomorrow… but honestly… wth!!!!!

 

None of that would have happened if you had a hood scoop! (Just kidding...)

Good luck to getting the truck back to the way it should have been sold to you in the first place...

 

Got a little info…

the issue on the hood is “residue” so it will be cleaned and polished and taken care of.

the 2 black pieces on the front bumper will prob be replaced.

all of the seals for all 4 doors will be replaced.

hoping i don’t find more issues. Wow great for a brand new truck i’ve had for about 3 weeks now! Lost alot of faith and trust in toyota…

 

Toyota is very good at warranty work on their vehicles. Each dealership may be harder to deal with than others, so if this is your issue than write a detailed letter to corporate toyota and this will get any issues resolved. I had to do this, not because the dealer was much of a hassle, but their supply chain couldn't obtain a transmission and muffler that was going to be replaced via 60k powertrain warrany, even though I could easily find the parts elsewhere. I sent a letter to Toyota Corporate and magically the parts showed up a week later.

 

Just out of pure curiosity, which plant did your Tacoma come from??
